DescriptionPhysician and suffragette Ida Noyes McIntyre began her career as a journalist. She attended the Women's Hospital Medical College (now Northwester University) and, according to a subscription history entry, she received an M. D. degree in 1891. College records do not verify this. Ida was active in the state campaign for women's suffrage in Colorado and when she arrived in Everett, she was a leader that helped win the vote for women in Washington State in 1910. McIntire managed a clinic in Everett and specialized in diseases of women. To read more about Ida, see the Women's Legacy Project at www.snocoheritage.org
