DescriptionElof Norman (Dec. 2, 1894-Aug. 31, 1980) authored the book "The Coffee Chased Us Up" (Mountaineers, 1977), memoris of growing up in the mining town of Monte Cristo, Washington in the early 1900s. Everett Public Library has an oral history interview done with Elof Norman. In the interview, Elof speaks at length about his years working in shingle mills.
